How to find life insurance benifits

My brother just died, without a will, his papers, have not been found ( he was Extremely careless), I have to make all arrangments, how do I find any life insurance due him, with no policy numbers, which of course they ask for? He was known to have at least one, with Mutual of Omaha, and Companion Life. They were not in his safe deposit box, which was opened with a judge's order. I would appreciate any advise. Thanks William

Re: How to find life insurance benifits

The insurance companies have a file of all life

insurance policies by the name of the named insured

and by the name of the owner of the policy.

If you do not get a prompt reply to a letter to each

of the insurance comapnies, call the insurance

commisioner who will put pressure on the insurance

companies.

Your dad's check book should reveal the companies to

which he sent premium payments and all of those

companies should be contacted.

If your dad had an insurance broker, he should be

contacted.

Stick with it.
