Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
Grounds for contesting a will
What are the possible grounds for contesting a will in the State of New York? Can this be done from outside the country? If so, what is the procedure?

Re: Grounds for contesting a will
There many grounds to contest a Will; failure to comply with the execution requirements, mental disability, undue influence, forgery, and so on.
The contest is held in the county in which the Will is offered for probate but the contestant need not live there. Generally an attorney is hired to conduct the conntest; he or she must be admitted to practice law in New York. So, yes, it can be challenged from afar.
