waiver of process: consent to probate

why would i have to sign this form if i am not mentioned in the will

You should have received a copy of the Will and it is possible that you were mentioned directly or indirectly. In the alternative, you may be an individual who would have received something from the deceased person had there been no will (intestacy). If you have no objection to the Will, the signing of the form expedites the probate proceeding. If you have an objection to the Will (say, you would receive something if there was no Will)and you believe that there is a basis to object to the Will then you should not sign the form.
