Will dispersement

My brother is the executor of my mom's will in NY state. All debts are paid. She has a cash account and a house to be sold. Can he disperse some funds or does he have to wait until the house is sold ?

There is no reason that partial distributions cannot be made.

He can disburse some funds with the approval of the court. Otherwise, no.
