If an individual sells a property to a son or daughter and it later turns out that a

will exists that leaves that property to another person or persons, in whole or in

part,would the person/s who received the property be liable for compensating the

person named in the will?Would the date that the will was signed relative to the

date of the sale of the property make differen

No.

The type of gift you describe is effective only if the decedent owned the specific property at the time of his death.

The dates are irelevant.
