There will be an apportionment between your prior injury and your new injury. There will be two carriers and it may be complicated. You should get your treating physician to immediately opine whether your current condition is an aggravation of a prior injury or it is a fresh injury. Your rate and the amount of money that you recieve depend on the doctor's answer. Of course, both insurance companies will want to have you examined as well.
Please contact my office. I have years of experience with workers' compensation law and would be happy to talk to you further.
