Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina
collections
back in 1999 ,had a target card with limit of $400.00.collections now says I owe,or the will settle for over $2000.00. what is my recourse?

I can't answer your specific question without knowing all the facts and seeing all the relevant documents. If you haven't made any payments recently, it is possible that the statute of limitations has run. If you make any pyments, you could re-start the statute. If they sue you, you may be able to raise this as a defense.
