Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina
company withdrew funds from my checking account in NC without authorization, what can I do?

Was this truly unauthorized or did you somehow give authorization? I need more information. If you paid a bill via debit card, you might be deemed to have given authorization such that they can charge your account this way in the future if you don't send in a payment. If you paid a bill for someone else, this might happen as well. If you owed money to the bank, then the bank can take the funds from your account.
Assuming that this was truly an unauthorized draft, then request a refund from the company IN WRITING. Write to someone in authority, explain the circumstances and ask for the refund. Include proof of the unauthorized draft (your bank statement).
