Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I signed a personal gaurantee loan for a LLC that defaulted. I am now being sued for the amount oweing. Can they take my home that I own with my husband (he didnt sign the personal gaurantee)..What can they do?

They should not be able to execute against a home owned jointly by you and your husband if you are the only one being sued. Nevertheless, you may want to seek some legal advice and attempt to fight the lawsuit with the possibility of settling it for a lesser amount. If you simply admit the allegations in the complaint or do nothing, the creditor will obtain a judgment against you.
