Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

if i have assault on a female do i have good chance of winning the case if she said that i grabed her arm and twist it and pushed her but the real truth is that she had grabed a niffe so grabed her wrist and trayed to take the niffe from her befor she harmed me or her self or the kids.
