my friend is currently in prison for charges of drug trafficing and assualt with the intent of doing seirous harm, shooting someone in the back. the victim says my friend is NOT the one that shot him. this charge is over 10 years old. is there any way my friend can have the assualt removed if the victim signs a paper stating my friend did not do it?

Re: can the charge be removed
The victim needs to go directly to the court that sentenced him. That is the best way, but indirect ways coould be done by a lawyer thru a motion for a new trial.
