Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

We've read over the internet how Amazon treat their own employees, like dogs....well their customers isn't exempt. After I made an identity theft complaint, they pointed the finger at me. They made false allegations that I violated their. No evidence were never presented during their supposed investigation. They even refused to speak to me after repeated calls. Was this an elaborate setup? Ask Amazon. I thought that slandering a person's name and reputation was against the law.

You don't say what they said to you so there is no way for us to know if it amounts to 'slander'. However, odds are it likely didn't. If you have a problem, half of getting it resolved satisfactorily is how you conduct yourself. Based on the tone of your question which is aggressive and bitter, it appears you may not have conducted yourself appropriately in dealing with Amazon. If that's is what happened, the resulting exchange likely will not be considered slander. As to what you experienced being an elaborate set up - that's just crazy talk. Amazon can make a lot more money much easier by just doing good business than orchestrating elaborate schemes to rip people off. Anyhoo, we never get all the facts in a limited forum like this and in your case, we got virtually no relevant facts so you may want to consult with a local attorney who can review your situation in detail and lay out any options you may have. But based on the content of your question, I don't see a viable case against Amazon.
