Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
Testifying
Does a wife have to testify against her husband if she doesn't want too? And, if she doesn't want to, can she get in trouble for not testifying? Is there a law against a spouse testifying against there spouse?

Re: Testifying
Generally speaking, you cannot be compelled to testify against your husband. If you are the victim of a crime (e.g., your husband assaulted you), the rules are quite different.
