Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina
My ex notarized an SCRA waiver, but it is dated 6 weeks before the date I can file for divorce. Is there a way this can still be used? Or is there a way to use a current General POA to have the date changed? Thank you!

No. He can not waive prior to there being something to waive. He will need to do a new one. You are actually better off to just pay us a flat rate fee total of $395 to just do everything for you. Or if you wanna avoid issues with the SCRA and if your spouse is cooperative, we could simply represent him and serve you as the Defendant and avoid the necessity for the Waiver altogether.
