Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina
I’m working on a stepparent adoption in NC and need to file a waiver for the report on proposed adoption because we have been married for more than 2 years. Is there a form to use for this and do I need to include an order for a waiver with the adoption petition?

What you need to do is hire an attorney. If you can afford to adopt a child you can afford an attorney to do things properly. As to your question, I don't know of a form for the Waiver. If you want to keep costs down you may be able to retain a local adoption or family law attorney to help you on an 'a la carte' basis with just the portions you need help with - such as the Waiver. Best of luck.
