Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina

Dear Sir/Madam,

I got my permanent resident card in 2002, & came to USA for 3 month & returned to my country to finish my college 3rd year�s And i did the same in 2003,

August 2004 I Entered USA and lived there until 02/2008 without any trips outside USA. during this period I was eligible to apply for citizenship but for overwhelmed reasons I had to go back to my country till present I Because I was not able to return to USA till now.

Is there a way I can re enter USA to re reside there .I Have been out for 32 months. And if I spent 2.5 continuous years can I apply for citizenship after 3 years.

It seems that you have abandoned your residency in USA by staying abroad for an uninterrupted period of 32 months and without securing a renetry permit.
