Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina

I did not get my Green Card yet

I went to my interview on Sep.

2008 at Charlotte NC office. At the

interview, the officer told that they

will send you a mail in couple

weeks. I never received anything as

of today July 2009. I still do not

have my Green Card yet. my work permit has expired, they asked me

to renew it, which I did. My question

:WHAT I HAVE TO DO, IT BEEN SO

LONG. IS THERE IS ANY LEGAL TIME

THAT THE IMMIGRATION SHOULD

FINISH THE PROCESS? Please help

You can schedule an INFOPASS appointment with an Information officer with the local CIS office in your State of NC. At the appointment, you can inquire about the status of your pending adjustment of status application (as it's pending at that local office).

In alternative, you can call USCIS Customer Service 800 number and inquire about your case.
