Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina

I am considering marrying a mexican illegal immigrant. I know there is a lengthy process to apply for the visa in mexico, 3/10 year bar, etc. Would it be better if we both went to Mex to get married and applied for the visa for him there? Would that make any difference? I know he still broke the law initially by EWI, but would this be any better?

No, it wouldn't be any better. Actually, it can even complicate things and make separation longer, unless you will marry him and move with him to Mexico.
