Lauren brings her same-gender partner of several years to a company picnic. One of the other employees treats Lauren poorly after realizing she is a lesbian. Does Lauren have any recourse?

First it depends on if there is an applicable state or local law prohibitng discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. Next, you would have to show that the co-worker's conduct is more than just "poor treatment."
