Legal Question in Military Law in North Carolina

seperation agreement

My husband is being stationed in japan. He wants to get a seperation. He is the sole provider for our family. He has told me to handle the seperation. I can not get advice through the navy because of conflict of interest since they drew up his will. I don't have money to hire a lawyer. Where can I read up on our family rights. We have two children and a home. Any suggestion to how to begin. We are trying to handle it in a friendly manner.

Re: seperation agreement

You need representation by an attorney. As a military dependent you are entitled to see an attorney on the base. If this is not feasible, approach legal aid in your area to represent you.

Good luck!
