1st speeding ticket in 15 years in NC. Can I get out of this?

I just got a speeding ticket 70 in a 55 zone. I plan to get a lawyer. But I have a legal question, Since this is my first one since about 15 years in north carolina, i want to know what are the options for me to get out of this. I've heard of prayer of judgement, getting it knocked down, etc. I don't want points on my insurance. Please Help

If you have a clean record, then knocking it down to 9 miles over will not have insurance points (but will have DMV points). If no one on your policy has a prayer for judgment continued (PJC) in the last three years, then you wouldn't have insurance consequences with a PJC either.

Some counties will even give out non-moving violations like an improper equipment.
