Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

Prayer for Judgement- ticket in VA but from NC

I recently received a speeding ticket in VA, but am a resident of NC. I wanted to know if I am still able to get a Prayer for Judgement even though the ticket was received in VA, not NC. Any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -Laura
