Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Dakota

car reposession

A reposession man started my truck and my husband ran out and stopped him because we live in the camper that is in the bed of it. THen the man aggreed to let us take it off and while doing so my husband drove out from under it and drove away. Can he legally be in trouble for that. Especially since we are living in it. a detective called me and said if we leave the area in it that we will both recieve class 6 fleonies and be pulled over at gun point. Is that true or a threat? PLease let me know I am in north dakota, but the loan is out of washington state.

FInd out who the "Detective" is. There may be a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
