Leaving a young child at home alone

What are the laws governing leaving a 6 or 7 year old child home alone for more than 30 minutes?

Re: Leaving a young child at home alone

At least in Franklin County, this would be considered neglect of the child in Juvenile Court. Criminal charges, likely child endangering, may or may not come out of the case.
