Legal Question in Disability Law in Ohio

Termination
Off work, under doctor order's, Can they fire me? While in the hospital, they visited me and told me my job would be there when released. Received termination papers in the mail and I was still on doctors' orders not to be able to return to work for another 2 months. Nothing was offered to my family or me while I was in the hospital about any type of medical leave that the company may have and we are not familiar with any. The company know the approximate date I would be released, but they terminated me anyway. Please let me know if they can do this.
