A debtor's bankruptcy estate includes all his or her assets and liabilities. So one cannot pick and choose which assets or liabilities to include in a Chapter 13 case. Moreover, a debtor cannot take on any additional debt during the pendency of Chapter 13 proceedings without permission from the presiding bankruptcy judge.
Keep in mind that the goal in any bankruptcy case is to give a debtor a fresh start, unencumbered by the debt that necessitated the filing in the first place. Good luck!
