Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
My drug store employer was purchased by another drug chain in 1985. The contract copy that employees would receive benefits in the form of profit sharing. Can this be held to after all these years?

I would need to read the contract as a whole to see what it says happens if and when its acquired by another company. If the contract is unclear, you should consult with HR and ask about the status of the profit sharing, if its changed, etc. They should know the answer and be able to give you documentation. If you haven't heard anything at all, that probably means its all staying the same. Otherwise, they would have notified employees of any changes in their status, benefits, etc as a result of the acquisition.
