Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
Employee threatens to sue employee for job performance
I work for a local office of a national publishing company. I am responsible for accounts receivable for 5 salespersons. A sales rep has said that she can sue if I do not collect on her accounts and she is charged back her commission when the account goes to an outside agency. Her reason is that I am not doing my job and it has cost her money My collections to an outside agency is .0001%. She strongly feels she can do this. Can she? If she can, am I able to sue the sales reps because they cannot meet their goals which has affected my pay raise? Raises were drastically reduced because of the reduction in revenue.
A response would be greatly appreciated. I work in Montgomery County in the state of Ohio
Thank you

Re: Employee threatens to sue employee for job performance
The sales person has no claim against you at all. Her client's failure to pay is an issue between the sales person/company and the client. You cannot be held responsible for her client's failure to honor its obligations.
