Re: LLC among partners residing in different states
Dear Reader,
You may incorporate in either state, I suppose. However, I can advise that the State of Ohio makes it very easy to open an LLC, providing that you have a statutory agent in this state. Your Attorney may serve as incorporator and Stat. Agent. I urge you to have a written Partnership Agreement, with consent to register the LLC in Ohio, in order to avoid any future misunderstanding.
I cannot advise on taxes, since I'm not a CPA.
Good luck!
Sincerely,
J. Norman Stark, Cleveland, Ohio
