Past due Credit card debt
I have a lawyer who states they are taking me to court because my credit card company has sold my past due amount to an outside agency. I offered to pay the charge-off amouny of the credit card but they are refusing.

You cannot stop him from suing you and they dont have to take a lesser amount, although I would expect that you would get an offer to pay less.
