Web Development Portfolio Rights

I work with a web development firm as a telecommuting contractor. Do I have rights to display web sites I have worked on with them for my personal online portfolio, displaying images of the sites, and what my role in the development of it was?

It depends on the agreement that you have with them. In general, if the work was a work-for-hire, it belongs to your employer. However, as an independent contractor you own the copyright to the work you create.

Thus, without knowing the agreement that you have with the employer, I cannot comment further.

Good luck!
