Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio
used car sales disclosure
Are wholesale car lots required to tell you of any known problems with a car before purchase is made? I recently purchased a used car from a large dealer. Puchased it as is. Did not even make it home and it had transmission trouble. They told me to bring it back to have it checked. Which I did. In the mean time had a trusted mechanic tell me the problem. The dealers Ase certified mechanic said there where no problems with it. It was ok to drive. I did not believe this and took it to a tranny shop. They said if I continued to drive it it would be very costly. Even if I would have had to pay for it because I bought it as is they should have said what was wrong.Thank you for your time..
