Yes. You can even be arrested for passing 1 bad check for $1.00.
The last time I looked into it, passing a check for $9000 was a 4th degree felony, which can result in up to a year and a half in prison for each charge. Someone who is facing such charges should immediately seek an attorney due to the severity of the punishment.
