Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

Am i liable?

I signed a contract for a membership at a gym. I went one time for the three part training session they insist you go through, and was hardly paid attention to by the teens who were taking care of me at the time. They were heavily engaged in a conversation, and I felt incodental. I never went back. They continued to collect the monthly fee for months. The contract reads I am liable after the first visit/service. Since I was disatisfied with the service to the point I never wanted to go back, do I still owe them the money they are trying to collect from me? I tried calling to discuss this matter, but they keep giving me the run-around.

Re: Am i liable?

There is a special statute on pre paid entertainment contracts. The gym contract would fall into this catagory. You should show the contract to an attorney in your area who deals in consumer law.
