Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio
Hello, I lost my job and have one judgement against me and another one that has been filed. Can my Social Security payments be garnished? Also I have another small retirement from the company I worked for and a part-time job which are direct deposited to my checking account. Can these be taken from my account? Should I stop the direct deposits and have them sent directly to me? What about personal property? Thanks so much

Good afternoon, Generally Social Security benefits can not be garnished. Personal property can be garnished if not exempt by law. You might want to check with your local bar association to see if you can locate an attorney to represent you.
