Applying for Credit Card in Deceased's Name
My deceased father had perfect credit and offers for credit cards with good rates and no yearly fees are still sent to him and I now live at his address.
My sister saw one of the offers one day and ask if she could accept the offer of a credit card in his name and make the payments on time, use it a year or so then close the account. How mu;ch trouble could she get into doing this if she were caught?

She could be charged with a felony for credit/bank fraud, identity theft and could even be prosecuted federally because she would be using the US Postal service to facilitate her crime. DON'T DO IT!!

Do the words bank fraud or identity theft mean anything to you.
It is not a good idea to let your sister apply for credit under another name.
