I have been under investigation for 2 weeks for a child abuse crime. I am not the parent, I was watching my girl friends baby and was accused of beating her in a 2 hr period. I have totally gone along with the investigation including the 2 hr interigation. Now how long does this have to go on befor we may resume our life again? I am not alloud around the baby untill this is resolved

They have a year technically to investigate the case. The protective order can remain while that goes on. You should have an attorney at this point. You may call me to talk and I would not charge you for that.
