Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
probation question
Currently on probation in the state of Ohio. All charges are misdemeanors, no felonies. Possibly moving out of state, never planning on returning. Need to know my options, whether I can transfer the probation to another state, just move and never return, whether I will get in trouble for that. Please e-mail me your suggestions and my options, as all help is greatly appreciated.

Re: probation question
The Court can transfer your probation to another state, or could choose to terminate probation. If you simply move, the Court will issue a warrant for your arrest. It may not result in you actually being arrested in the other state, but it could, and it definitely will cause all kinds of problems. I do not advise you to simply move and ignore probation.
