Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Agent for Disposition of Remains

Even though if have next of kin (adult children, brother, mother) I would like to be able to appoint someone other than them to handle the final arrangments upon my death, such as creamation and burial or disposition of ashes or remains. How should I go about this? Is a written, notarized statement enough?

Re: Agent for Disposition of Remains

Why don't you have a prepaid funeral so that the plans are already set and they would be according to your wishes. Most funeral homes will be very accomodating, but make sure that the funds are set up in a trust for perpetual care.

Good luck!!!
