Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Child Support
My ex-wife was fired from her job back in October of last year. She is asking for an increase of child support because she has no income. The question is if she quit or she was the cause of her termination would the court reject her request for increase of child support?

Re: Child Support
If she quit then the court will impute her former income to her for computing child support. The court will look to the facts as to how soon she can get another job. This situation may work to your advantage if the child is very young as the child care component will be subtracted from the computation as she will not need the child care any more.
Good luck and I would go to court with counsel.
