Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Child support and supervised visits

Can I prove to the courts that my unborn daughters father should get only supervised visitation because he was or still is a drug addict and because I know he is irresponsible? And also can he still be ordered to pay support if he's only allowed supervised visits?

Re: Child support and supervised visits

First of all, custody and visitation CANNOT be determined until the child has been born. You may present evidence to the juvenile court of the father's drug history, and other instances of his character to support your motion for supervised visitation. Child support and visitation are mutually exclusive, and child support is mandatory, regardless of the level of visitation.

Re: Child support and supervised visits

Yes, to both, but you will have to have proof of the father's paternity to enforce child support and of his behavior to enforce supervised visits.
