Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

My friend and her "husband" are separating (they haven't been legally married) but they are both fighting for their child. What determines who gets custody, and how can my friend fight to keep her son? They are both from Ohio.

Your friend should get an attorney in order to aggressively fight for her rights. The standard is the best interests of the child and there are a number of factors that go into this. I would have to discuss this with you or your friend further in order to accurately assess what her chances are.

Feel free to contact me, or have your friend contact me, at either [email protected] or [email protected]. My phone number is 330-447-7634. I am happy to help in any way that I can.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
