Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Grandparent's Rights

I have a protection order against my ex and we have a child together. We were never married. His mother and stepfather want to take me to court for grandparents rights. Does it matter at all that their son has domestic violence charges on me and other violent charges on his record when it comes to them getting grandparents right?
