If 6 people heard a tape recording of a parent being verbally abusive and threatening in nature and part of the recording was lost, but a member of children's services also heard the full recording, could this be used in court as evidence since there were several people who heard the message which was incriminating?

This MAY be admissible if the defendant actally made the threats, and the tape can be properly authenticated as being a recording of the defendant. It is a hearsay exception as an admission against interest.
