Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Judge who discriminates against Father
My ex wife refuses to follow our court order regarding custody and visitation. I have repeatedly taken her to court, but the judge refuses to hold her in contempt, giving her chance after chance. We both had a bill with the guardian ad litem and were ordered to pay, I was making payments, she was not. Two days before our last court date, her parents paid the bill for her. When we got to court, the judge threatened to hold ME in contempt for non payment, and insisted that he must follow his court order. My ex showed up without an attorney again, (last court date was continued for same reason, judge stated no more cont. for her lack of responsibility) and the judge who just insisted that he ALWAYS follows his orders, gave her yet another chance, and continued the case. He was irritated with her after our last court date for not having an attoryney and he's tired of seeing us in his court so he told her she's in hot water and she'd better let me have the kids for my scheduled visitation. Five hours later I filed a police report because she wouldn't let me have them, again. She knows the judge will not punish her, so she does whatever she wants. What is my recourse?

Re: Judge who discriminates against Father
Your only recourse is to file another contempt motion against her, and if there i no satisfaction, then you could possibly file an affidavit of bias against the magistrate/judge.
