Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Money issue

I am in the middle of a very tough divorce. I filed, after being unhappy for years. We have mutual debt on some credit cards with 0% interest, but all the bills come to my house -I try to pay the minimum on every card every month. I also pay his car insurance, since we are both on the policy. At the same time he buys gifts for the kids every time he comes to see them - he bought new computers to

both of the kids - that's about $1500 each computer - he buys Macintosh, since he ONLY believes in Macintosh .... He buys them toys, I take them to the shoe store, clothing store and the grocery store.

He owes me half of everything I pay .., but I am not sure I will ever see that money back.

Any thoughts? Ideas?

Thank you!!

Re: Money issue

Since you have the kids he should be paying child support. If you are in a long term marriage he should probably pay spousal support. If he has so much extra money for gifts for the kids, then maybe you are not using the proper amount of his income when computing child support. Further, the court should have allocated the bills on a temporary basis so that you each pay your fair share.

Good luck
