Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
paternity
My 19 year old son has been named as a possible father of a baby girl born last year. There is a long list of possible fathers on the court document. The baby's grandparents are attempting to gain custody of the child from their daughter who is 18. Why must my son go for paternity testing if the grandparents want custody? Should he get an attorney? If he is the father and the grandparents gain custody, will he still pay child support?

Re: paternity
You should advise your son to consult or retain an attorney. In the event it is determined that your son is the father,he will be obligated to pay child support even in the event that the mother's parents obtain custody. Hope this helps.
