Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
protective order/divorce
my daugther is going through a divorce.she currently has a protective restraining order against her husband for domestice violence up to 2 years. will the restraining order be null and void because of the divorce or will the restraining order still be in affect. she thinks it will no longer be in effect once they go to court for the divorce. He isn't allowed to know her phone number her address or anything else about her, he isn't allowed to call her or her family. any help or advice would really help.

Re: protective order/divorce
It depends on the terms of the final judgment entry of divorce. The trial judge has the discretion to make a teporary protective order permanent, if she makes a showing of permanent and lasting harm without it.
