Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

money borrowed with verbal agreement

I was engaged to a man, he wanted to buy a new motorcycle. He had no credit or money, but assured me he was able to pay back any money borrowed upon sale of old motorcycle & sale of property (jointly owned by him and siblings after parents deaths last year) I lent him the money ($11,000)on agreement to pay back within 30 days. He refused to sign promissory note or put my name on title of new bike. Shortly after loan he broke up with me and all but ignores my requests for payment. Old motorcycle still for sale, but I have no guarantee he will give me the money from it. I am single & need it now
