Re: petition for parent

Filing petitions for family relatives can appear simple. However there are many pitfalls along the road. You should consult with, and consider hiring, an experienced immigration attorney for your matter.

In visa petition process, the burden of proof and production is on the petitioner (in this case you are the petitioner). The amount of documentation necessary to meet these burdens is subjective. There are certain basic documents identifying all parties that should be filed. There is also a large amount of discretionary evidence that should be submitted. Many times, the more discretionary evidence submitted, the faster the case is processed (as there is no need for USCIS to ask for more evidence).

Please contact an attorney in your area who can assist you with this process.

Telling you all the forms and describing what to do with them for this process is complicated. I suggest you either consult with an attorney or go directly to you local immigration office and ask for the forms.
